EFFORTLESS AND TIMELESS: HAWAII COLLECTION BY BUCCELLATI

TALES OF UNFADING ELEGANCE, WHISPERED BY THE RUSTLING LINKS OF GOLD

Jewelry is like the perfect spice – it always complements what's already there.

Diane Von Furstenberg, fashion designer

For more than a century, in the labyrinth of Italy's ancient craftsmanship and goldsmithing traditions, the hands of the Buccellati family have been weaving dreams into reality, creating jewels that whisper tales of unparalleled beauty and quality.

The patriarch, Mario Buccellati, passed this poetic dance of creation down to his son Gianmaria, and later to his grandson Andrea, each generation preserving the unique techniques and the creative philosophy of the jewelry house, not allowing them to become mere ghosts of the past.

Their recognizable style, born of a century of creativity, is a mirror of Italy itself blending history, tradition, and an enduring allure. Echoing tales of the Roman Empire and the Renaissance, yet simultaneously speaking a language that resonates with the hearts of modern-day jewelry aficionados, their pieces are inspired by Venetian lace, Etruscan patterns, and the country's vibrant flora and fauna.

Hawaii seems a robust archipelago, a paradise pinned like a bouquet to the middle of the Pacific, fragrant, sniffable and easy of access. But in 50 years of traveling the world, I have found the inner life of these islands to be difficult to penetrate, partly because this is not one place but many, but most of all because of the fragile and floral way in which it is structured.

Paul Theroux, novelist and travel writer

Among the many stories Buccellati told through their jewelry, the Hawaii collection holds a special place.

Conceived in the 1930s by Mario Buccellati, it was an instant success, captivating the world with its irresistible modernity. It was as if time itself had stood still, with the design remaining unchanged and becoming a perennial bestseller for Buccellati.

In the Hawaii collection, threads of gold are transformed by passionate and skilful hands into tiny, endless circles, as light as whispers, which intertwine to become bracelets, necklaces, and pendant earrings.

These timeless creations, where art meets engineering, are offered in white, yellow, and rose gold, or as a harmonious blend of the three.

To complement this story of incessant elegance, the Hawaii collection offers an array of color options. Gold is interlaced with hues as vibrant as life itself: black, light pink, green, turquoise, indigo blue, and brown; some pieces are embellished with delicate diamonds, while others feature heart-shaped intervals.

The Hawaii Earrings and Necklace, ethereally light, hover around your ears and drape along your neck, rustling softly, creating an ambiance of serene motion and sound:  the gentle chirping of cicadas on a warm, southern summer night.
